Google Design Challenge, Mobile UI Style & System (2018)

I designed a mentorship matching system (mobile app) for the google design challenge along with an initial brand identity, visual style, and UI style system.

To develop the UI style system, I started with defining 3 keywords for the brand/product: Positive, Gentle and Encouraging.

Overall, I used softer colors and a greyish warm white instead of pure white (#ffffff) for the background to create a gentle tone. I also used a mellow yellow to add some light and warmth to it.

As for the typefaces, I chose Ubuntu for the logo and expressive titles/ short copies to bring a cheerful and approachable tone to the users.

On the other hand, I chose Lato for information display and longer text (neutral and better readability.)
